Towards the use of capillary electrophoresis in the drug quality control in mali

The aim of this study was to compare Capillary Electrophoresis to that of Ultra-violet-Visible spectrophotometry in drug quality control for the development of capillary electrophoresis as a new technique Quality control for drug analysis at the National Health Laboratory (LNS) of Mali. To perform this, we selected three molecules: 25 sample of Quinine, 15 of Cotrimoxazole and 10 of Furosemide.
The results have helped ensure that this new capillary electrophoresis technology designed and developed by the School of Pharmacy Geneva-Lausanne in collaboration with the School of Engineering and of Fribourg, is operational on the LNS site. Better it offers certain advantages regarding the analysis time and low amounts of reagents consumed. Its use in the analysis is much tolerant to interference matrices of different dosage forms and requires no special feature compared to an injection form, a tablet or other form.
The LNS, the coaching staff plans to develop other analytical procedures for the optimal use of the ECB50 while taking the necessary steps for its preventive and corrective maintenance.
