The loss or absence of interdental papilla, aptly termed as “black triangles” are a clinician’s nightmare, as correction of lost papilla stands amongst the most challenging task of various mucogingival surgical procedures. These black triangles create a problem regarding esthetics, phonetics and food impaction. The surgical techniques aim to recontour and reconstruct the soft tissue between the teeth. This case report demonstrates the complete reconstruction of the papillae following the semilunar coronally repositioned flap technique with 18 month follow up.
